Frequently Asked Questions

Need any more information?

Why are you no longer selling online?

Primarily due to rising costs and the sheer difficulty that’s involved in shipping perishable/frozen products. This decision allows our sales team to focus their efforts on national retail expansion, which means more stores near YOU carrying your favorite Blendtopia products!

How do we find a store near us?

Easy, just use our store finder HERE which uses real-time scan data to relay what stores we’re in nationwide.

Why organic?

We believe that the journey to living a healthier + happier life begins with clean eating. Our smoothie blends are all USDA Certified Organic which allows us to source only the best whole fruits and vegetable to combine with our nutrient-rich, organic superfoods to ensure the highest possible nutritional intake for you and your body.

What's better for you, fresh pressed juice or smoothies?

Both are excellent for your body, that’s a fact. Juices are rich in enzymes and packed with vitamins and minerals that get absorbed into your bloodstream within 10-15 minutes. Smoothies are rich in vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, living enzymes, phytonutrients and protein and utilize whole fruits/veggies so they keep the fiber and complex carbohydrates intact. As it relates to fresh pressed juice, it won’t count toward your fiber intake so you’ll need to make sure you are getting fiber from other daily servings of vegetables and fruits. Smoothies can actually act as a meal replacement since the whole foods are present within them utilizing the protein and fiber that are the essential nutrients required for satiating your body.

Are your frozen fruits and vegetables just as healthy as fresh produce?

Our fruits and vegetables are always fresh-to-frozen and undergo shock freezing technology that locks in all the essential nutrients so nothing is lost in the process. So, the answer is yes!

What are superfoods?

A superfood is a nutrient-rich fruit or vegetable that contains a high content of antioxidants, vitamins, minerals, omega fatty acids, protein, fiber or other essential nutrients that has proven health benefits. Nutrient density is the ratio of calories to micronutrients – the vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and phytochemicals that are essential for optimal health and wellness. Nutrient-dense foods, like most vegetables and fruits, have a high amount of micronutrients, a low amount of calories and a low glycemic index. Superfoods are ‘super’ for a reason so to protect quality they are always freeze dried, certified organic and minimally processed.

What superfoods do you use?

Cacao powder, chia seeds, chlorella powder, coconut milk powder, flax seed powder, goji berry powder, hemp seeds, maca powder, chia seeds, wheatgrass powder, and the list goes on. We also use spices like cayenne, cinnamon, turmeric and black pepper. We create products with functional health benefits and these superfoods play a key role.

What's in (1) smoothie kit/pouch?

Each smoothie kit contains organic frozen fruit and veggies as well as 1.5 oz of frozen superfood chips. The superfood chips are comprised of our proprietary blends of organic superfoods for all-in-one convenience. All you have to do is empty the contents of the smoothie pouch into your blender, add 12-14 fl oz of blending liquid and give your blender a whirl! One smoothie kit will make (1) 20 fl oz or (2) 10 fl oz smoothies.

Are the superfood powders as healthy and beneficial as the actual superfoods themselves?

Yes, absolutely. The organic superfood powders we use are the world’s most nutritionally rich foods and their vital nutrients are not compromised in any way due to the freeze-drying process. Each of our smoothie kits has its own proprietary blend of superfoods, uniquely formulated to target a specific health benefit, and each kit contains 6 grams of this targeted superfood blend in every pouch. The 6g of superfoods are blended with organic banana puree and frozen into superfood chips which you’ll see in every pouch.

What is freeze drying?

It’s an all-natural drying process that uses very cold temperatures to extract moisture from the superfood without damaging the nutrients. All of the superfood powders have gone through a freezedrying process prior to being incorporated into our superfood chips.

Can I substitute a smoothie for a meal?

Yes. All of our smoothie blends can be treated as a full meal if you blend the entire pouch and make (1) 20 fl oz smoothie. Superfood smoothies are incredibly nutrient-rich so they’ll keep you feeling satisfied longer because your body has everything it needs to perform. Whether you use superfood smoothies exclusively as a way to upgrade your health or you incorporate them as part of a more intense cleanse plan, they’ll undoubtedly deliver vital nutrients to your body.

What type of blender do I need?

Not all blenders are created equal. We certainly understand that and always take that into consideration when experimenting with our superfood smoothie combinations. The texture and appearance will definitely vary from blender to blender but the product itself will carry the same powerful punch no matter what brand you decide to use. One of our favorite blenders that won’t break the bank is the Nutribullet.

Why do you not recommend blending with cow's milk or other dairy products?

Dairy can be difficult for many people to digest because it’s extremely acidic. The acidity causes serious disruption to your bodies pH balance making you more susceptible to a variety of health problems like asthma, acne, weight gain, congestion and other diseases. Many people are dairy intolerant whether they know it or not so we recommend blending dairy-free. However, there are some wonderful organic milks on the market so if you do not have a dairy intolerance, go for it!

What about soy milk?

Soy milk is almost always genetically modified, it’s thyroid and immune suppressive and highly estrogenic (a cause of many hormone imbalances) as well as mineral binding which prevents them from getting absorbed into our body. There are so many other wonderful options for nondairy ‘milks’ available so try them out to see which one you (and your body) like best!

Any concerns with allergies and coconut milk powder or sacha inchi powder?

Technically coconuts are in the palm family but the FDA has listed them as a potential nut allergy concern. The majority of children or adults with nut allergies do NOT have a reaction to coconut but if you have a history of serious food allergies you may want to take caution or get tested. Sacha inchi, although referred to as the Incan peanut, is NOT a nut but rather a seed from the sacha inchi plant. Sacha inchi should be completely safe for those with food or nut allergies, however if you’re wary of trying sacha inchi please speak to your doctor or allergist.

Does wheatgrass powder contain wheat?

Wheatgrass comes from the shoots of the wheat plant. This plant contains everything you need to stay healthy – iron, chlorophyll, Vitamins A, C and E, magnesium, calcium and amino acids. Although the shoots of grass come from the wheat plant, the wheatgrass shoots themselves are gluten-free. Gluten is ONLY present in the seeds or “kernels” of the wheat plant. If you are concerned you may want to consult a doctor or allergist.

Are the probiotics in your smoothie pops safe for kids?

Yep, 100%! They taste insanely good, work wonders for the body and are safe for your little ones. Each pop contains 2 billion CFUs of probiotics.
